Just like this boys. Using the amp bracket I posted earlier and added a custom bracket for Dayton to hang onto. This is a 2400.4, 400.4 on side and Dayton behind headlight. Plenty of room in my 2009 SG.
Once you ditch the factory head unit and accessories it opens up a lot of room. I kept all my Ultra options though so I don't have as much room to work with.
I would like to say thank you to all you guys who brought to my attention of what else is out there. As of this moment I am in a waiting mode to see what if anything is found to be wrong with the Aquatic AV as I shipped it out this morning to the company and hope like hell that they find something amiss as it would be nice to know I was heading in the right direction. If that doesn't prove to be the culprit I may settle on a Sony Marine unit and an amp to see if the 2 channel set up will work for me. Enough power and the Kappa's should do alright. I also think I may make a change on the windshield to help control the wind noise. Anyways thanx to all who contributed as it's good to know that there still people out there that would help out a guy in need.
Hey Zig you just hit on something that definitely helps. I got a 12" recurve Long Ride shield for my Ultra and it pretty much eliminated wind noise. The airstream goes completely over my head. The only issue is it gets too hot for me in the summer.
Also another thing that helped me enjoy the radio a little more is a quieter exhaust system. When I got my bike it had Rinehart True Duals on it. That rig was so loud it actually got tiring on long rides. I put a milder exhaust system on the bike and with the quieter shield it works wonders for the ears. The only issue I had with the exhaust change was the bike ran much hotter so I had to put a good aftermarket oil cooler on it.
Considering where you live though I don't think either of these changes would be detrimental if you decided to tinker with them.
I went to true duals to eliminate the heat and run Cobra Mufflers w/upward slash cut and they can get loud trick is use the cruise control when you can. I'll be out on it this coming Wednesday, don't know if I can get a new shield by then, we'll see.
Hoyt, one more thing, how tall are you? I'm 5'6" and have 13 inch windshield, but that's the way it was when I first got it and never bothered to change it. I'm thinking of 10 inch now.

I'm 5'9 and had the lrs 11" windshield a few years ago. It was too tall. I now have a 10" knock werks flare windshield.
