He crossed his at 135 hertz fwiw. You will find much more info on those groups and guys that have tried about every combo out there. Juice alex haze sbates are super audio smart. The rest of them fiddle **** around w their mmats and gains on Fri night for fun of that tells you anything. This isn't a rocketship and the speakers are only 240 bucks a set if you blow them both. Ask around enough and someone will share their info w you. Or you can listen to the three stooges and run 150 or 200 watts and tell everyone how fn great they sound and go adjust the amp settings Sat night and report back on Monday lol

Hey yourself a dmm and see what sounds best to you. We all have different opinions on what's loud and sounds good man lol
For the love of god man, stop ****ing name dropping, you’re spewing **** you don’t understand and using other people to justify it.

350+ to a yellow coax is going to sound like screaming dogshit. They will be crossed super high and the tweeter will make your ears bleed.

if you cut the tweeter, run it on a separate channel, and power it separately with like 60-70 watts, it’ll be slightly better, but still crossed super high.

the point you’re missing, is that works with a well rounded system. You can’t just have 6,5’s and run them like that, you need multiple 8’s or 10’s to fill the bottom side or you’re going to sound like garbage.

ive personally ran 300+ to yellows at a super narrow band pass with no issues. I’m currently running 400 each to blacks and reds, alsooooo super narrow band pass. And I have 4 8’s eating 400 each running 45-250 hz to cover the bottom side.

coax speaker don’t take power like that and sound good, but please, keep name dropping Joose and Bates, that’ll make you sound better……

And of the 3 names that were mentioned, I can guarantee that neither of them would ever suggest to push that speaker at 400 watts nor would they run it on their own bike at that level. Every speaker has a part to play and you're not gonna force a 6.5" speaker to do it all.

IMO

The guys running 350-400 watts @135 crossover aren't running a basic 2 or 4 speaker setup. Somewhere along the line you need to cover lower frequencies or you just make your ears bleed. Personally, I'd rather run them at 200w with a 60, 70 or 80 crossover point on a 2 or 4 speaker setup. Most folks coming here aren't looking for competition setups. They want to have good sound, loud enough to hear at 80mph.

The truth of it is, no matter what you run, it's a system. If you only have 2 speakers to play with, you want a full sounding, well rounded range of sound. If you're running 8-14 speakers, by all means tune them to scream highs and blend it with mids, mid bass and bass.

If anyone remembers any of this rant...... remember SYSTEM!!

off my soapbox

Dsm I think they sound 5x better at 325 watts vs 200 watts. I have tried it been there done that. They are much louder and hit harder at 325 period. Little bright sure

Then you’ve never head a good sounding bike that “hits”.

there is no 6.5 on earth except subs that will hit. Don’t care what you feet them. They lack the excursion to move enough air.

but please continue telling us how much you know about this.

For ****** sake Ryan! Why do you have to be so argumentative with EVERYONE??? Just because someone likes those speakers at 200-250 watts doesn't mean they're wrong. And just because we don't suggest pushing them with 400 watts means we're wrong either. Do you man. If you wanna push them that hard, then what are you waiting on. You have a spare set right??? Feed em and report back what your findings are. You know there's a lot of us all over the sled audio pages and your posts are very easy to recognize because you're the one that's stirring up **** no matter what sight it is. And for what??? What are you gaining or learning from being the asshat? I tried brother...I stuck my neck out for you once, I won't do it again.

I found some really badass 3" woofers that could be plastered all over the fairing for some ground shattering bass!
