Default HU Flash, DIY?

Can you flash your HU yourself, if so what is needed and how difficult is it?
May be worth investing if you are headed down this rabbit hole and may be trying different things.

Not a stock GT or GTS.....will need to see a HD dealer, RF dealer or someone that has a TR device

You can do it yourself if you buy the flashing tool, technoresearch radio flashing kit. They are around 300.00. I had my flashed with the Rockford Fasgate flash. Sounds 100 times better

Would be worth buying if it wasn't locked to a single bike

Yep. 300 bucks is pricey for a flash

Newbie question, can you flash your bike with different settings or are you pretty safe going with just one flash like the RF flash and be done with it.

If I were going to run a DSP on a stock GT or GTS, I would go RF and be done. If I have a DSP, I would go with the 8/2 flash and be done. If you have the tuner, if can change it as many times as you like...
