Default Crossover point help

Hello,

I’ve got Hertz SX 165 NEO 6.5” front speakers and the Rockford Fosgate 6x9 lid kit speakers in my 2015 Street Glide. Powered by an 800.4 Soundigital Amp.

I don’t have the Fosgate DSP yet, only using the crossovers in the amp at the moment which are a 12 db slope.

What crossover points do you all think I should be using? I want to protect the speakers but also get as much low frequency output as I can.

No one will be able to share legit suggestions until they know exactly how many watts (VAC) you are sending those speakers.

Regardless, trust your ears!!!

I’m running the sound digital 800.4 at 20V AC per their setup instructions.

I’m really looking for some input on the crossover points for the Rockford 6x9. They just don’t seem to put out that much bass. They are wired in phase correctly, but I think I’ve got them crossed over too high. Could anyone chime in with setup examples that have worked for them?

What do you have them crossed at?
What are the Rockford specs for frequency range and watts?
My guess is you are close for RMS rating. I would start with spec ranges and work from there.

Not a hertz fan, they are very screechy.. Loud for sure, just not a warm speaker.
