Default Looking for updated reco's for a basic 2 speaker upgrade

Hi All, been reading lots of posts. I'm an audio nube so thanks for the ton's of great info here. With some of the recent pricing/availibility issues I'm wondering if there are any changes to the recommended upgrades for a basic 2 speaker setup.

I have a 2020 SG and am looking for a budget upgrade to the stock system. I don't really need it any louder, just better clarity at the highway volumes, and a little bit more base. I likely won't ever add extra speakers, don't want to lose FM, and have a budget of around $500. My music source is an Iphone plugged into the USB port.

I was thinking MMATS/Stinger/BT355 combo ($680). However, with the price increases (Stinger 2 channel 350 is now $320) and availability (PA601cx are hard to get), I'm wondering if there is another way to go that will fit both my goals and budget? And...is the PA601/Stinger combo that much of an upgrade on something like the HogTunes G4 SG Speaker Kit ($470) that it justifies the extra $210?

Thanks

By no means an audio expert but here is what i just installed in my 2014 SGS and I am very happy with the sound quality and loudness.
2 - Ground Zero Yellow basket 6.5 coax speakers (Hard to find right now)
1 - Soundigital SD 800.4 Amp
1 Biketronics BT 355 Line Leveler
Misc cables (Speaker Wire, Power and Ground, RCA etc)

All in was around $940.00

I would recommend looking up Andy at Aggressive Audio on facebook as he put together everything but the speakers in a package that made the install very easy.

The simple answer is yes, the hogtunes is just overpriced Boom audio stuff. You are on the right track going with what you have intended.

I would save a few bucks up and go as JD noted......Mmats/stinger are a solid setup, but not a good a the GZ's for me

If two speakers is all you plan and need to stay in your budget this is an idea. in the classified section there is a stinger spx350 pick that up get the Mmats 601.4cx then get the HU flashed you should be able to pull that off under 6 with install kit.

Just a thought, you could probably even go with an SD400.4 ( 239.00) bridged for the GZ's if you go that route. You'll get 200-220w each which means you can cross them a little lower for your bass needs. I think some here run them at 150w crossed at about 50hz. That's pretty good. You can easily run the Mmats with that amp as well...
