Sony max volume set to 45/50 into (to avoid cliping)
into DSR1 using 2 pair of RCA's from sony.
DSR1 set up with 48db high pass set to 70hz for both front and rears (yes its aggressive but im running alot of power) can adjust as needed but its safe
power up amp play test tone lets say 100hz & 1khz crank sony (45/50) adjust gain till i see it clip (using scope meter) then back it off a touch this will make sure even if i max out volume on bike its at least clean power.
Amps are 2 SD 800.4 amps bridged into 2 channel 4 ohm
Fronts are GZCF yellow baskets coax 6.5"
Rears are DD 6x9's but will prolly upgrade them to the GZCF 7 x10's if they ever arrive

If you set the gains to run 400w to each 6.5 and crossed at 70hz, that is super aggressive with that much power and I would be really careful with your tuning. 6.5 coax speakers are not made to run down 70hz with 3x times the rated power.

Pretty sure your right on that. I thought I read somewhere on here that the guys that run them at 350w+ are up around 130hz on the XO. And thats with an almost perfect tune( if there is such a thing) lol....

Its all in the tune. You can make speaker clip like bloody hell with rated power. Crossover point, crossover type, roll off, etc.
I had an absolutely perfect RTA tune with my newest setup and a fairly conservative crossover but it clipped like mad (like actually heard the speaker make a popping sound) until I took about 2DB out of the 70hz range. And 70 is below the HP crossover point on these, you have to pay attention to the Q, the frequency, etc.
Its easy as hell to smoke an expensive speaker when you start playing with power levels well above RMS.

Yea not sure where I pulled that figure from but as I'm not a massive bass freak I'll prolly set them higher Spotify play list pretty much sits on Marylin Manson or Rammstein radio.
