Default Volume control.

https://www.mtx.com/mudbtrc-universa...remote-control

Highly considering loosing my fairing, throwing the amp in a saddlebag (leather) and ditching the HU. I was looking at something like this to control my phone via BT.

I keep the radio volume all the way up and control it with the HU, I don't exceed 30 on the volume control, and honestly 25 is more then enough. Having something like this, will I loose my volume control and range?

Thanks

It has volume buttons so you will still have volume control. I didn't read the manual but I'd want to know the output voltage. If you ditch the fairing where will you mount your speakers since you have leather bags? Looks like you're on a Heritage Classic so having a fairing was probably the best possible scenario for mounting speakers. Some people with Road Kings use lower fairing with pods or stand alone pods. Everyone that I personally know with sounds on a Softail utilize some sort of fairing or handlebar set up.

I know there's a volume button but I'm curious if I'll have the same volume output as my HU.

I haven't used that particular unit before but when I've used similar items in the past I did not have the same volume output as using a head unit. Maybe there's been improvements over the years in that area for the these types of devices.

I just don't want to sacrifice volume for convenience.
