I only had about 10 min of play time on them. Gave them about 300w, set HP to 80. They sounded awesome. Clear, loud with good punch. Putting them in lowers.

arc moto 720 sending 150 watts each to the fairing and lids. Cx6 at 110, mmats at 90. They CX6's sound great. Good mid bass and nice top end. I'm happy. My experience with the GZ's was not a good one. Probably a bad pair that caused me 2 months of aggravation.

Oh I see...you're one of the unlucky ones.

I only ask because I don't much about the Arc's and looked directly at the YB's because everyone was raving about them. Now I've got my eyes on the Cicada's 🤦🏻

I like the way the designed the cx6's with the suspended tweeter. It gives them more area on the cone to produce the midbass. A component speaker in a coax package. I got them for 370 about a year ago from a Arc dealer on eBay.

Im hearing because of the tweeters the regular grill covers may not work with them. Did you have any fitnent issues in the fairing?

I had hogtunes covers...they were fine. I never tried them with the oem covers. You could give Arc a call as their customer service is outstanding.... as far as fitting in the pods there was no problem at all

Just an update, I decided to go with the Arc Audio CX6's. I got them for $395 from CreativeAudio. The GZs require pod modification and more power than I can provide with my RF amp; the Cicadas I couldn't find any real good info on them but they seem solid; finally the Mmats got great reviews and it was a tough choice between the Arc and them, but ultimately I liked the suspended tweeter on the Arcs since I feel the sound will be a little warmer, which I prefer.

I'll report back when they're installed and let everyone know how I like them.

Thanks for everyone's input!

I hope you are happy with your choice. I will however tell you that in my experience the Mmats provide a pretty warm sound for 6.5s.

Yeah, I don’t think I would’ve been upset with any of the speakers I mentioned. I just couldn’t understand how people were getting such warm sound from the Mmats when they have such a high frequency response. I’m definitely no audio expert but I was swayed by the Arcs lower response frequency as well as that suspended tweeter I mentioned. If I had more money to burn I would’ve gotten both sets to do a side-by-side comparison. Lol
