On your DSP screen the vertical lines between 20-100Hz are in 10Hz increments, 100-1000Hz are in 100Hz increments, and 1000-10000Hz are in 1000Hz increments. The Cicada DSP's and amp with the DSP installed come with presets to flatten the Harley EQ curve without having to flash the bike. If you really do have the RF flash then they shouldn't have used one of the preset EQ curves. My recommendation is to make sure that your head unit is actually flashed then remove all the EQ and set your HP filter to 100Hz with a -12db slope. Also, if they did not install the resistors that came with your speakers then I would install them since you are running your system passive. They should go on the power wire before the external crossover. There should be a picture of this in your owners manual to reference. See how this sounds then you can play with EQ or even reducing your gain level for each channel.
Went into app, used the preset “HD Flashed-Horns” which had these settings
This made a world of difference in lows and highs!!
Sounds great, 100% better…again, not sure if this is the best the system can deliver, but it SO much better!
Pulled the trigger on the Cicada DSP150.4D amp and CH65.4 speakers for my 2019 Street Glide set-up. Install should be next week once parts are in. Only $220 more than the Evox 400.2, GZ, HKI DSP set-up. Hopefully it will be worth the money!
I’ll post results when it’s all finished
Congratulations on the new system. Good thread. I like the Cicada products and also like Hertz a lot based on research of both. Curious if you considered Hertz and if so what helped you make your decision.

Thanks
i didn’t look at the Hertz at all, originally was looking at Ground Zero and SD amp, but read a lot of good things on the Cicada setup, so I thought I’d give it a try. It was a couple hundred more for the Cicada over the GZ/SD system with DSP. I liked the idea of getting speakers/amp/DSP all by the same company, designed to work together. It can be a gamble if the stuff if junk, and then it’s all junk. So far, so good.
i have run into a couple issues: the original EQ setup by the installer was not the best, not Cicada’s fault, I am using one of their preset EQ maps, which has made things much better. I have found on a few occasions, when streaming from my phone, the bike volume control no longer works, and I can only control volume using my phone. Can turn volume all the way up or down on bike, with no effect on system volume. Not sure what is causing this? Finally, it seems the system is not nearly as loud as it originally was, best I can describe is what was very loud at 1/2 full, now requires 3/4 or more to equal…again, not sure what happened? Maybe it’s just me!
What is more than likely happening when the headunit isn't controlling the volume is that you are streaming directly to the amp.
If you are not making any adjustments on the amp via BT just simply disconnect your phone from the amp bt.

ok, that makes sense, I had phone music still streaming after I switched to the radio on the headunit. Only after I closed SiriusXM on the phone did the radio come on…I’ll give that a try.

Could that be the cause of the loudness issue?
That will cause a volume difference for sure as the amp is receiving difference input signals.
when you want to adjust with the dsp, you have to go to the cicada dsp app and connect thru that app. When you are finished with dsp, disconnect the app. Then connect with your head unit, that way as Badboy said, you will be streaming thru the head unit and not the amp..
