Finally got around to finishing the install of aftermarket amps and speakers in my '18 CVO Streetglide, and now no sound.
Stock HU, DSR1, 1200.4 Evox for upper and lower GZCF's, 800.4 Evox for saddlebag MMAT's.
Rockford Fosgate flash. Used American Hardbag "T" harness, front bypass plug, and rear bag harness.
All speakers pop if powered without delay, but nothing getting from HU to speakers. Took DSR1 out of mix, so it's, in theory, from HU to amp and nothing happening. Music source from thumb/flash drive and volume up a little.
Talked to American Hardbag tech a couple times yesterday, but they're closed today. I'm wondering if their harness may be pinned wrong for CVO?
Try fm to see if there is at least static from the speakers. My guess is if you are getting a pop in the speakers then something is working. As DMS stated check remote wire and the switches on the amp. The memory stick may be bad or the hu may not recognize it.
I agree, that if there's pop at the speakers, then they're hooked to something. The amps turn on and I've tried Sirius, FM, AM, and the flash drive (which has been in there for two years), but still have zero sound. I swapped amps and still nothing.
Ok after thinking this thru, the pop is from the amp to the speakers, so the speakers are working. So check the output signal from the hu to the amp. You said you are using a AHB harness. so do you have the rca's off that going to the amp? Check those rca's. How do you have the harness hooked to the amps?
The T harness has high-level outputs on the RCAs. With the DSR1 in the signal path did you have the Input Level switch set to high? When you removed the DSR1 did you adapt the RCAs on the harness to use the high-level inputs on the amp(s)? Those amps only take low-level inputs on the RCAs.
If you made sure to use the proper switch setting on the DSR1 and the proper input connectors on the amps then you need to split the signal path at the T harness to look upstream to the radio (check that you have signal on the RCA radio outputs using an o-scope or MM). To test downstream through the DSP/amps (or amps alone) I like to use a test-tone generator like this one.
