New to the group guys. Doing a big wheel bagger build right now and coming into the audio side of things. Got new lids with 8 speakers and horns. Have the normal 6.5 in the fairing already. They are Hertz Millie from a Daytona Bike Week upgrade. I think those will stay for now. Its powered by Rockford 400.4. Im torn with the 8 right now . I bought the Hertz 200 Neo for the weight save but now reading/watching a lot on Diamond Audio. I am thinking of SD 800.4 for the fairing speakers and lids and the 400 will stay for the horns. Does that sound right? What are some suggestions to get some loud clean music? I will probably add a 10 sub down the road.
I am going to keep the Millie right now due to the shop never had a remote wire ran to my amp so I dont think it was truly amplifying the speakers.
Should I upgrade the power/ground wires?
Thanks in advance I love reading this forum with all the smart cats.
A lot to answer here. The RF doesnt need a remote wire it can turn on with a music signal. The RF amps are big and lack power. You make it tough when you come in with a shopping list and want someone to make it work. 10's in stock bags with 8's in the lids will sound like ****.

Fireball- You are right. I should give more info also, I am open for suggestions regarding the equipment which is why I asked. I was trying to communicate my plan and ask if it made sense or there were better options. Price point is not a huge issue but I will not be completing in any competitions.
I have added extended bags. Its actually the Red Fox Bagger 6 down 9 out kit.
Long and short looking for good 8 speakers for the lids and amp to power those and a set of 6.5 Millies.
I always had the problem to miss the music while cruising, so I was looking for a loud motorcycle speaker. I suggest you check speakers from Shark. I really enjoy their loud sound.
