The Mmats coax shouldn't be that bright if you have the x-over dialed in. The Hertz SX are a different story, they can be a bit bright, and can easily over power the fairing speakers.
The variety of speakers you have would really benefit from a DSP. All three pairs of speakers have different tonal characteristics. Different EQ settings would really help.
Installed the mmats tonight...gave them and the Neo's 150w each and there is definitely a clear difference from the Mille Pros. The mmats & the Neo's seem to be at the same level now...faded back to the GZ's (down below in headlight pods) and the mid bass came alive. I think I may be on to something here...finally
**the new amp running the Neo's and the mmats is a 1200.4...one thing I noticed is that the fan comes on all the time...no matter what temp the amp is at...anyone with a 1200.4 confirm that? I thought maybe the fan only came on when the amp got hot. I put a few furniture pads under the amp so it lifted it off the amp tray to allow air flow.
