As for right now I'm sticking with a 2 speaker setup in the batwing, not looking for competition level loudness but more concern about clarity and quality of music. So far I've bought a Cicada DSP125.4D for the amp but need a little guidance on the 6.5" speakers as there's many to choose from Cicada. Also trying to learn more on the differences of coax horn speakers and standard coax speakers, but trying to google anything just shows results for stadium horn loudspeakers. Also getting mixed suggestions on 2 or 4 ohm speakers.
Where you are at right now is a great place to pause. You can save yourself a lot of money with proper planning. Will you ever go past a 2 speaker system? What bike is it going in. The Cicada Speakers have gotten mixed reviews and for the price I would be shopping elsewhere myself.

Ever? Hard to say, might get a wild hair sometime and put 6x9 in the lids which is one reason why I went with a 4 channel amp. But for right now I'm sticking with a two speaker setup in my 2022 Street Glide ST. So far, from what I've seen and watched, the Cicada stuff has been getting glowing reviews. I'm all ears if anyone has suggestions.
It is sound quality VS price. The GZ is a better sounding speaker at almost 1/2 the price. The Mmats would be my 2nd choice @ less than 1/2 the price. I would hope that amp is an over achiever.
If its ever a possibility to do more than just a 2 speaker setup than I would buy the amp for that situation now. At least its available to you when you change your mind down the road. I am currently buying everything for my 2 speaker setup that will eventually be a 4 speaker and Im going with the ground zero gzcf 6.5spl in the fairing of my road glide and I have a euphoria fm100.4 that I will run at 2ohm for them. Eventually I will add speakers in the lids

I have the GZ's in my fairing of my RG and Mmats 6x9's in the lids. It sounds very good for the money invested.

Any suggestions would be apricated, I've been out of the audio game for 20 years and alot has changed since then.
I would go with "horn" speaker, 4 ohm and bridge to that amp if your not planning on adding more speakers. Those speaker will be loud an clear, they just lack some lows that the GZ's have.
