I just picked up my first Harley (2013 FLHTK) a few weeks ago and am loving every second on the bike. The only complaint I really have with the bike is the poor sound quality. With winter fast approaching here in Canada, I figured i better start getting ready to fix that situation.
I will admit, my knowledge when it comes to audio is very limited so I thought I'd get some opinions from you fine folks to see if the setup I am looking at buying is worthy or not.
For speakers I am looking at the Polk MM652 for fairing and rear pods. (from what I can see, they can fit. Can anyone confirm?)
For an amp I keep going back to the Stinger SPX700x4
For the head unit, I have my eye on the Rockford PMX HD9813

To bad you are not in BC and could take advantage of FASTSOUP"S annual audio garage sale. All kidding aside You will want to have a good plan before moving on to purchasing items. The Stinger is a great amp and sounds great paired with the Mmats PA601.4cx but not a good amp for the GZ's. I know it Canada your great PM has a hefty tax on stuff coming across the border. Hertz is an option for you guys.

Why is the Stinger not a good amp for the GZ's ?
and to the OP I forgot to mention the Mmats which are also another good option!

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at the MMats too, but they seem to be tricky to get here in Canada and fairly pricey as well. What should I be looking for with the speakers for specs when paired with the stinger and the Fosgate HU?
