I am here to get some help, I have a 08 ultra which I am putting in a new stereo AQ-MP-5BT-H. I got the old out and the new in, the stereo has power but nothing else, Could I have knocked something loose or pulled apart a connection under the fairing. Turn the key on and nothing happens, but the stereo works. Please help me get my animal back up and running!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry but can't really give you a answer to what you may have done installing your stereo.
Your post was moved to the stereo area. Only as a suggestion, be sure to make your next new post over in the new member welcome area and say hello there.
Theres no telling what you did or didn't do correctly. Did you pull the main fuse when installing? Maybe you blew a fuse. Did you splice wires or use the harness? I would check the battery and fuses first

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan! I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Take to an office supply store and have them put a spiral binder in place of the glued binder. That will let the manuals lay flat on your bench. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.

You say nothing happens but the stereo works? You mean all the lights are on but no sound? Those units are pretty much plug and play. Except the rear speakers, those you have to wire in. Are your hand controls working. So if the stereo lights up and you see the volume go up and down? Those stereo's also come with I think come 240 watts? Do you have an external amp? Is the stereo configured? Can you connect to your phone with blue tooth? Use a USB drive, FM radio? I am not too far from you should be able to help. PM me if you would like to talk.
Thanks I could use someone to talk to about this. I removed the factory stereo, installed the new one. It works but nothing else . No lights horn or fuel pump. So I must have disconnected something under the fairing, which is still off.

If you did not disconnect the battery before install, check the fuse block, and corresponding fuses. Left side I believe. Can you send a picture of the back of your new radio how you installed it?
I checked the main fuse it's good, 12 amp on the volt meter. The radio and the lights for the speedo and tack lights work, I get the mileage and thats it. The radio is a plug and play. Stereo on and speedo and tach .
