Hi guys.
I am about to start shopping for a new 2024 street glide. I have a question about how you listen to music on your bikes. I know a lot of people use their phone and use apps like Pandora or something like that. But I was thinking about just putting my songs on a flash drive. That's how I listen to music in my car. I also use Sirius XM. Now I'm hearing that we cant use Sirius XM with the new Skyline OS...
Can anyone help me out with correct info on this....TIA swifty
You can stream XM thru your phone via carplay or even bluetooth. You can absolutely put your music on a thumb drive as well (at least with all previous models).
I prefer my music on a thumb drive and leaving my phone BT connected to a head set. That way I can listen to my music and not worry about any back and forth BS with my phone. I have just over 2K songs on my drive, plenty for any trip I take, or mood I'm in.
To connect a USB device, there's a pigtail with a USB C plug on the end. It's located in the tray under the display.
I haven't tried it, but it says in the owner's manual that you can plug in media players and USB storage devices. You'd need an adapter to connect the USB thumb drive to the USB-C cable on the bike.
EDIT: Note that the cable in the tray is the only way to charge a phone, so you won't be able to charge the phone while listening to a thumb drive.
