Default Cheap android head unit

Has anyone ever put in a cheap android head unit and get it to work with the driver control module for handle bar controls? I have android head units with wireless CarPlay in both of my cars and I love them. So, I thought I’d get one with wireless CarPlay for my 99 Electra Glide. But the handle bar controls working is a must.

as long as you get a radio that excepts a steering wheel input you can get a module that will retain your hand controls. Biketronics, Pac and metra sell them

I have the Metra on there that works perfectly with my Kenwood head unit. I tried to wire up the cheap, android head unit and could not get the bar controls to work with the metra
