I have a 2023 Street Glide. I bought all of the pieces for a CB system, including the 76000188 module (from a parted out 2016 Ultra).
I installed everything and then called my dealer to make an appointment to flash my GTS boom box.
They made the appointment, then the service manager called back about 5 minutes later and said that the module I have won't fit my bike. I explained that it did indeed fit and plugged right in. He said "nope, that radio is for 2013 and older bikes." I said "Nope, it's for 2014 and up and, in fact, this came off a 2016 Ultra." We went back and forth and I read him several articles and posts from various forums (including this one and roadglide.org) and tech pages and he still wouldn't have it. Then he said "That's a $6000 radio and you'll void your warranty: we won't flash it."
I cancelled the appointment and said I'd get back to him with something solid.
Reading through this forum (and roadglide) I see that it's not uncommon for dealers to be way misinformed about this module and refuse to flash.
For anybody that was successful in the face of a dealer who was balking, how did you get around it?
And for anybody who knows more about this stuff than me (er, that'd be ALL of you), any idea where I could find proof (e.g. a Harley document) that this is the right module and is safe to flash a Boom! GTS radio?
I'm glad I'm not the only person having issues with the 76000188 module. I've purchased 2 of them for my 2022 RGU Ltd and my system will not recognize either of them. I've had the radio flashed at my HD dealer and no luck. Called HD direct and they said it should work. What a mess!

Just a thought. Did they change the CB frequency from FM to AM?
I plugged the module in and connected it to a true CB antenna. I had power at the plug. The dealer flashed the radio. The report said when they hooked it up it was on AM. After the flash, I noticed that the freq. was FM. Not sure why it changed. I know that I have the correct CB module because it is a 76000188 for 14-C Road Glide Ultra Limited. Maybe I need to take it to a different dealer that has more electrical knowledge?
