Just purchased the Soundstream unit for my 2014 Limited. Would like to try running the microphone behind the windshield. If you've done this, how did you route the cable from the back of the radio? It look like if I run it through the top between the outer and inner fairing it will leave a gap that would allow water to enter. Any other ideas, or am I worrying needlessly?
I do have this on my 17 SGS, I just put the fairing back on otherwise I would have pics. It can be done Pull fairing and drill a hole in the top portion of the rider vent then run the Microphone wire down the inside of the vent and feed it through the just drilled hole and then along the top of vent and zip tie to existing radio wire loom.
Once you open it up you will figure it out.,,,I have never had a 2014 limited so it may be slightly different.
No plans for using it rolling down the road, but I figure I might use it sometimes sitting still. Not like it's going to hurt anything if I wind up not using it...
