Default Question about flash tools for purchase

Howdy all,

I am slowly gathering parts to put in my old PSM and 600.4 into my new 23 Ultra Limited. Nobody around where I live flashes head units (most don't even know what I am talking about when I ask). I will probably just hook things up with a Cicada harness and my PSM and dial in a basic tune with that, but I think I may be in the market for a flash tool if all that pans out OK.

What I am wondering is if there is a flash tool that will flash my GTS head unit (maybe the "Rockford" flash with fade) and also fire the ABS module to allow me to flush my own brakes. Can anyone tell me if a basic tool will do that? Lefty sent me a link to a Techno Research that led me to this page:
Alaris Audio HD

I can't tell from the description if it will allow flushing the brakes or just reset codes.

I'd appreciate any experiences y'all are willing to share. I'd really like to be able to flush my own brakes as well as flash my head unit, but I guess the main thing is flashing the head unit at the moment.

Well crap on a cracker. Under fitment they don't seem to list any bikes after 2020 as well. Heh, on my 2010 I bought a cheap Android tablet (ITM HD1) to flush my brakes. It looks like the dude has made one for the current bikes as well:
ITM HD 3.1+ (Late model 2020+ TOURING ONLY)

So I guess I can get one of those to flush my brakes with, so that just leaves a tool to flash the GTS head unit with a flash that flattens the EQ curve and has fader functionality. Any ideas on that?

Alaris will work on your '23 to flash the radio, it just can't do the ABS. Sorry, I was not aware the CSP did not work on '23 when I recommended it. It is a fantastic tool for my '19, does everything!

So, you can get the Alaris for the GTS, and the one you posted to flush the ABS

Groovy thanks for the info. I guess my next question would be do these flash files for the head units come with the flash tool or do they need to be downloaded and installed somehow? This 23 Ultra is the only Rushmore style bike I have ever been associated with, so I am completely green when it comes to tinkering with them.

Gotcha. I think one of the hurdles I face is not knowing what the descriptions of the flashes actually mean. Say I wanted just a flat flash that kept fader function, which one of these would be it:

SPEAKER CONFIGURATION

2 Speakers with BOOM! Amp - Standard EQ
2 Speakers - Upper Fairing / No Amp
2 Speakers - Upper Fairing / 1 AMP
4 Speakers with or without BOOM! Amp - Standard EQ
4 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Rear Pods / No AMP
4 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Rear Pods/ 1 AMP
4 Speakers - Upper / Lower Fairing / 1 AMP
4 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Saddle Bag / 1 AMP
6 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Mid-Combo / 2 AMPS
6 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Mid-Combo / 2 AMPS
6 Speakers - Upper Fairing / Saddle Bags / Rear Pods / 2 AMPS
6 Speakers - Upper / Lower Fairing / Saddle Bags / 2 AMPS
8 Speakers - Upper / Lower Fairing / Saddle Bags / Rear Pods / 2 AMPS

These are listed on the techno research page here:

I have heard of this service, but generally when I do my own work I try to purchase the tools I use. I just gotta learn how to use them...

If you have the Technoresearch module and software you can purchase a pay-per-bike license to open more functions other than just flashing the HU.

The pay per bike license will allow you to activate the abs module, change security pin, program key fobs, turn on aux lights to stay on with high beam, whim, switch to keyless ignition just to name a few options available.
