GTS/Carplay?
First things first - you mentioned you have the android wireless connector - since you changed phones, you will now need an Apple wireless connector. I might suggest the Ottocast - make sure you get the Apple version. I like the Ottocast because it connects in just a few seconds.
Purchasing the jumper will eliminate the need for the mic. Others have installed a dummy plug into the mic input. I will try to find that info here - but my bet is someone like SSatic (great guy) will come on and provide more details.
By the way, you said you don't have a mic. When you purchased your 2018, they should have given you a headset. Try to locate that. Plug it into the console, connect your IPhone to the USB post and you should be good to go. Use this as a test.
Good luck.
Then add the "hack", "jumper", or "plug", to defeat the mic requirement. If I had a bike with the factory headset jacks I'd be using the plug version like this

Note: if the plug doesn't work in the rider's jack, try it in the passenger's jack, some people have reported to having to use the passenger jack instead. The benefit of the "Plug" over the "Jumper" is IF YOU WANT to use a headset, you don't have to pull the fairing to take the jumper off. But, if you want to use a jumper instead, that's fine too. Then plug your iPhone into the USB and be sure CarPlay is still working with the jumper/plug.
Once you're get CarPlay working with your jumper/plug, then add whatever wireless CarPlay module you prefer, there's tons of them out there. I use this particular AutoSky one
and have had good luck with it, but there's a lot of wireless modules to pick from.
But I'd recommend doing it in steps, so you're not chasing your tail. Get it working the way it is supposed to first, that way if/when you have an issue getting it all done you know what you're chasing
