That's a little excessive... If everything is fused properly, how is an amp, speakers, DSP , etc going to burn the bike down?
This forum used to be a bunch of guys who would try anything in their bikes. Then they would report back to the group what worked best. Now it's just a bunch of guys saying you have to buy the most expensive motorcycle specific blah blah blah... I miss the old days of this forum when everyone got along and tried to help each other save money AND build badass systems.
I agree. I remember those days with Alex Haze and a lot of other guys with great information. I still run the same soundstream pn4.1000D and PPI 350.2D amps that I started with back in 2015 because of the information that I received from those guys back then. They are still running strong. The Infinity speakers are long gone but the DB drive WDX6Motos that I bought in 2019 still sound great. I ride a lot, half the time on interstates, and don't parking lot pimp at all so for me this system works for me. Like car audio back in the 80's and 90's, if you are going to compete then you need to spend money. If you just want good sound to ride around with, then you don't. I have even noticed that most of the high end speakers have low sensitivity numbers. I guess that doesn't matter anymore.
Just got the DS18 ION 1600.4 and 1000.4 installed, so far so good. I have no complaints. Great power in a small size. I put them both in fairing of my RoadGlide.
Do you have any pics of how you fit both in the fairing?
