Default CarPlay/Android Auto

I just installed a Soundstream HDHU14si and I'm working through a few issues. One seems very strange. I have an android, but on the home screen the HDHU has the Android Auto menu icon grayed out, but I can select Apple CarPlay. When I do it launches Android Auto and seems to work fine. Anyone else experience this? Just curious.

It's a Galaxy S21 + 5G, and I'm connecting with a Magicast wireless adapter.

ahhh it’s the Magicast that is triggering the Apple CarPlay button. The RDVFL I used to use did the same

if you connect Galaxy to the USB it’ll illuminate the Android Auto button correctly

its not a problem, just irritating I found

the issue isn't connection, he wants to know why his Apple CarPlay icon is illuminating when he actually uses Android Auto (as shown)

the wireless module being used has been programmed to use Carplay protocols, but once active it switches to Android Auto for its operation

My RDVFL (as shown) did the same thing and it bugged me... but when I switched to the AAWireless module, I now only get the Android Auto icon illuminated

Have anyone had a problem with the hdhusi not keeping time and date. Everytime I shut the bike off. And turn it back on, the time goes back to the default time. 8:00am. Called VA and they said the AA/CP wireless adapter needs updated. I am using the
zzair2 duo. But, then i was told the the idatalink mmr2 needed updating.

wouldn't bother me much because in AA mode it pulls the time from my phone. But using BT, USBBor FM the time isn't correct. And here lately the AA wireless module just loses signal and won't reconnect.
Definitely a PITA
TIA
