I have to agree with you 100% I didn't want to put pyles in the faring 😂 but I also didn't want a full 3-4k build , just want to simply hear the radio and not worry about it. I honestly think it's a shame the quality of speakers picked for the manufacturer on these bikes. Not to mention the amp. Mid grade is what Im trying to achieve. Will I add more later? Maybe ,but definitely not right now. I will take as many install pictures and be as detailed as possible for everyone else on the fence with the system I picked in particular. I hope to maybe even help other members on here decide to go with it or not depending on my experience

There's a lot of riders happy with stock Boom also.

I tend to suggest on this forum, the higher quality motorcycle audio specific parts because that's what I enjoy listening to on my bikes. And this is an "audio systems" forum, not a stock audio forum. But, I also want the best bang for my buck. But often times that comes at a cost.

So for your concerns, I think a $800 upgraded system (on a brand new platform) isn't a bad decision. Again, it's your money! It's not going to be the best or the worst! And I look forward to hearing what you think of it.
I wish I could have put my Mmats PA601cx and Stinger SPX700.4 from my old bike in this new bike. That was perfect for what I need. All for a whopping $500 plus accessories.

There's no reason I can't do that again. The speakers will fit and all I need to do for the amp is run some cables and run the existing speaker wires to the high-level inputs on the amp.

System installed , wasn't overly difficult. I could make a separate thread for it

If you're talking about tapping into the stock amp you're wild. I would never do that. Could be misunderstanding you.

Apologies BrandonSmith it did get a bit long winded please permit me to break it down. The bike currently retains the stock Rockford Fosgate 500watt amplifier. This has been taken off the amp plate and affixed to the back of the Skyline OS 12.3" touch screen with Velcro. I came out of this amp by unplugging the Molex speaker connectors and purchasing opposite sex plugs from AliExpress. Two 2 channel and one 4 channel. I connected the Molex plugs to the inputs on a Axxess AX-MOC4M-150 line output converter (LOC) so this would plug straight in, no cutting of the loom in the fairing. I came out of the LOC into the front and rear channels of a Soundstream SM4.1000D power amplifier. I have a CVO so I'm running all four channels.

If you are just running the fairing speakers on the 'standard' Street and Road Glides you can bridge the outputs on the amplifier and get up to 2 x 250 watts at 4Ohms. I then came out of the Soundstream and made a loom with the Molex connectors on it to connect to the speaker cables. Oddly enough the sex is different for the four connector running to the saddlebags than to the fairing speaker cables. Then again my CVO is made in Thailand, even the grammar on the touch screen warnings is not correct! We ride the 'Thai Legend' down here in Australia.

I ran power under the tank in the plastic cable tray and fed it into the fairing. I picked the remote wire from the loom in the fairing with a Posi-Tap. Watch the Volunteer Audio video on YouTube showing the installation of the Kenwood amp and speaker kit to see where this remote wire is in a Molex connector in the fairing. This will give you the all important remote signal.

As the Rockford Fosgate amp remains in place all handlebar control is retained. If making the required cable and connectors etc. are a pain then look on the Garage Bagger Stereo website under Harley Davidson 23 CVO- 24 Installation Parts, Speed Rings 23 CVO-24 Harley Davidson Plug & Play Adapter 4 Channel Line Driver for Stock Radio & Amplifier and for $249.99 USD (currently on sales apparently) you can buy the kit without the amp and speakers. As the output from the Rockford Fosgate amp has been independently measured at 2watts at 4Ohms at 12.48 volts or 13watts at 2Ohms at 12.48 volts dynamic you could almost run the outputs directly into many amps on the high level inputs and not suffer any issues, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Having said all of this I agree whole heartily with cshocker in that you get what you pay for. I have spent far too much putting audio on bikes and chasing ever diminishing returns to squeeze the last ounce from a system. Australia doesn't have bike shows with audio shoot outs as in the States so at the end of the day it comes down to personal enjoyment an a limited few bragging rights for people who understand why you take so much time and money to build a system.
