Default 2024 audio question

I wonder about connecting a standard motorcycle amp to these new systems. I'd just like to use the output from the current amp..leaving that amp installed and connect that to high input of the new amp. I don't see that being an issue ? Some say it's a bad signal? I'm no audiophile I'd just like some power/sound. Is there a reason I can not do this ?

The signal has to be modified, contact Volunteer Audio they will explain it to you.

The signal voltage coming from factory amp is the issue. Like Fireball said, check out Volunteer. They have a Kenwood setup.

The best way is to use a DSP, like the ARC PSM Pro to take signal from factory amp, flatten out the incredibly horrible Harley EQ curve and create the correct voltage to match the amp.

NVS Audio offers it as a package, not cheap at all, but it is 100% plug n play. And is easy to remove when you need to bring it back in for warranty issues. I have had to remove the system 3 times on a 2023.5 CVO because he's had nothing but issues with the radio and gauges.

I guess my question is has anyone tried this ? I understand there is not enough voltage from the stock amp to trigger a high input turn on but that's easily fixed. And there maybe some noise you can hear ..when the bike is off . Jw if anyone has actually tried it themselves.

I realized I had a monoblock and a subwoofer laying around. I connected that externally using the signal from one of the fairing speakers. It sounds fine to Me ..at least to 400hz the amp goes to. There is no buzz or hiss or anything abnormal that I can hear. It's enough for me to move forward buy any amp I choose and try out any speakers I choose. If it fails at least I tried.

my problem is I'm looking for a 4 speaker 6.5 set up. 2 fairing 2 tourpack..and no one really has that.
