Asking for my brother here cause he’s not on this forum….
Just bought the Soundstream V2 for his 2018 Roadglide. installation was a breeze. However, he’s having trouble connecting his android device. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or does he have a defective unit.
One thing we noticed after powering up the unit, that there was a previous android device loaded into the unit.
We’re wondering if this was a returned unit from someone that was having the same issues or not.
Thanks in advance!!!
I would ask the question to the seller. Who did you buy it from? New units come empty. As far as i know all reputable sellers do make a tests and updates on units they ship so probably just missed to reset after test.
And also make sure you have a latest firmware update

Sounds like the unit might’ve been a refurb or return if it had a previous device saved. Bluetooth issues can be finicky try resetting the Soundstream to factory settings and deleting old paired devices. Also, make sure his phone’s Bluetooth is fully updated. If it keeps acting up, he might want to reach out to Soundstream for a replacement. Some Android phones just don’t play nice with certain head units.
