I do work on my bikes, so installing wont be an issue. Ill check it out. Before I buy, I am going to reach out to cardo tech support and see if they have any insight or if they will issue a refund approval.
If so, I may go back to the Sena SMH 10 or 20s. (If they are still in production) I know they work.
Hope you can find the SMH 10 or 20 - maybe even the 50. Think my dealer had one of the 50s in stock.
Did you fully charge your non-Harly Cardo? Have not heard of anyone that gets just 4 hours.
Could the low volume from her be a microphone positioning issue?
I thought the same thing but is not the case.
Been crazy busy at work since returning from Sturgis, but I need to call Cardo tomorrow. Took the bikes out tonight, after doing some adjusting I found online, no difference in sound or music quality.
Im guessing it’s an HD compatibility issue because if I don’t connect to boom, it all sounds great and works ok. All is fine with it on my Yamaha Tenere 700 with a carpuride.
I would think Cardo would want to have a fix for this since they are now the brand Harley is pushing.
If I can get my $ back, an older Sena is the way I’m going to go. -either that or
trade to a 24+ HD or switch to Indian, LOL 😂

I believe it is because the software in the Cardo vs the Harley Cardo is different. The guys I know that use the Harley branded Cardo don't have an issue when using the WHIM.
Thats why I suggested the dongle - works perfectly with thenon Harley Cardo
I use the cardo Edge on my 2021 RG. I connected a cable to the whim connector under the fairing. Ran he cable under the fuel tank and it reached to the rear left speaker pod. Bought a used Sena Freewire and connected it the cable. Bluetooth the Cardo to the Freewire and my iPhone. I have my phone plugged into the USB on the bike and all the music controls work and I get gps directions. Incoming and outgoing calls work.
I've never tried communicating with anyone so don't know anything about that. I basically us the cardo for music in my helmet and to make an occasional call.
