Default GTS Information Help

New thread for new question. Possibly just user error as I am not familiar with this radio yet. When retrofitting the radio, is there a way to get this information to work on it?

Edit: To reset trip summary, start a new trip. Common sense seems to elude me right now.

Edit: I figured out how to get into the service menu and reset the mileage since last service.

Trip summary is automatic - just start a new trip (using your NAV)

cycle7447 is correct, the trip computer only works when you’re on an active route with the onboard GPS. Virtually every vehicle these days has a resettable trip computer, I can’t understand why they chose to program the GTS without this feature.

Thank you all for indulging my ignorance. Actually rode the bike and set the trip and all is good. Better to ask and feel dumb, then to never ask and wonder.

Hey, this is how we all learn things.

As an alternate, I use my odometer setting to set my trips. You have Trip A, Trip B, remaining miles and then the miles.

So, if I am taking a trip (and not using my bike Nav) - I start with both A and B at 0. I use Trip A to help me determine when I am y want to stop for gas, usually around 150 miles or so.

Each time I stop for gas, I reset Trip A to 0. When the trip is over (and that could be multiple days< I can look at Trip B to see how far I travelled.

I do about the same. Trip A is how many miles Ive put per tank, resetting at fillup. Trip B I used for my miles per service. This radio is new for me. I had the Soundstream HDHU14+ for the last few years till it finally gave up the fight. Learning the GTS will just be part of the fun. I do have my own flash tool on the way as well as a DD1. Now to get a RTA mic then I can play with the audio a bit more. I like tinkering on things and learning how to do all my own repairs/tweaks. Again, thanks for all the information.

On your GTS there's a screen for your miles since last service, and then you don't have to worry about accidentally re-setting it when getting gas, it's here (yeah, I know I know.... it's time for an oil change )
Reset Service Mileage

Entering service mode
1: Be sure ignition switch is off for at least 15 Seconds
2: Turn ignition switch to “Accessories”
3: When stereo’s “Warning Screen” displays, press & hold the stereo’s “Power/Mute” button until “Service Menu” is displayed (approximately 15 seconds)
4: In “Service Menu” scroll to the bottom, and select “Reset”
5: Scroll to the bottom again, and select “Mileage Reset”
6: A window will pop up asking if you want to reset mileage since last service, select “Yes”
7: Use the “Back Arrow” to exit out of “Service Menu” (twice with back arrow)

Oh I'm probably not the best person to ask that. I used only Anki for revision, so didn't have seperate notes to revise from. But basically the idea is to keep solving as many questions as you can and revising your mistakes.
