Default Sub Woofers, what ya got?

I upgraded my system with a Hertz PS 4.9 with Hertz 6" in the fairing and 6x9's in the bag lids. I think I want MORE bass.

What do you have? Removable, permanent mount, 8", 10" brand?

I was thinking about the Rockford Fozgate removable but, not sure. I'm pretty sure I'll be driving it/them with a Audio Pipe APMCRO-4060 amp since I already have that.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

For real bass on a bike, you need a purpose-built enclosure. The removable Rockford is popular and solid for a reason it works. With that amp, a solid 10" in a proper box will give you the thump you're missing. Just know a permanent, custom fiberglass box in the tour pak will always hit harder, but isn't removable.

The Audiopipe amp you have will not have enough output to power an 8 or 10 inch for bass frequencies that will play nice with the equipment you have installed already. You will need an amp that you can bandpass, dsp or headunit that has dedicated outputs for low frequencies.

The pre-made drop in enclosures are more of a sales pitch over output.

You can put an 8 or 10 in each saddlebag but be prepared to chase air leaks and rattles after cutting up your bags.

When chasing the bass game you will definitely need to upgrade your battery. It takes power to make power to make bass.

Questions to ask yourself
Where are the speakers going?
What size speaker do I want to use?
Do I have room/ air space for said speaker to work properly?
Do I have enough power to drive said amp and speakers to get the sound output desired.

I have been doing this bass game for 6 plus years. It is more than just throwing in speakers and setting gains to do it properly.

There's no way a sub/midbass in a tour pack will hit harder than properly installed and ran set of 10's in bags.

Also be prepared to deal with potential handling issues if its a real rider bike. A friend recently had to get a second set of bags for his road glide because the bike would wobble over 80 or so after he installed DB Drive 10" subs in each bag. So now he has his sub bags for around town and stereo competitions and regular bags for any real riding. Luckily his bike is black so bags were cheaper but its still something to consider.
I like the idea of those drop in removable units, that I though came with their own built in amps, but understand they wouldnt provide impressive levels of bass
Or do like my friend Cory and just buy another bike solely for stereo competitions haha its only money................ so Im told. lol

I dont know about all of that…there are factors.

Albeit I dont have subs, but do have heavy midbass (Beyma IX-10s) speakers in unsealed Top Shop Bags. I see 120+ mph on a regular basis in Mexico, no wobbles. I have a buddy who had an Ultra with sealed Top Shop bags filled with Euphoria subs…he doesn’t shy away from the speed either.

Babyboy is right, there are a lot of questions to be answered as to what you are looking for and what you are willing to give up (bag space and money).
