The SG/RG have a plug in the fairing for HU rear output signal so you only have to run rear speaker outputs down the backbone.

If you don't care about a fader or utilizing the rear channels of the HU you can use just the front inputs from the speaker pods with the proper PNP harnesses. Then appropriate the channels in the dsp to the amps for which speakers your amp/amps are powering.

There is more than one way to skin the audio cat on these bikes just depends on how you prefer to wire it and if you want the rear channels of the HU operational.

No reason to over think it or try and reinvent the wheel.
Interesting. I started out on my Ultra with fader control and the T harness made it real easy to connect the rear speakers. I wound up with a flash that disables fade because it sounds a LOT better. In an Ultra setup like mine if I wind up changing things around would it be possible to remove the T harness or is it best to leave it in place because of the resistor pack? Haven't heard a detailed explanation about that anywhere.

The brown truck finally showed up.

Looking over the harnesses you will have to use the RCA input harness from the T HARNESS to the DSP as the DSP only comes with high level plugs for front and rear channels on a SG/RG or RCA inputs. Output harnesses are 4 pin molex or RCA.

Oh OK, so if I am understanding you correctly the "plug directly into the bike" method of that DSP is high level inputs? If that is the case I'm guessing a good T harness like the Cicads would supply a cleaner low level signal to the DSP?

A T harness no matter the manufacturer is normally high level input.

Measure the voltage from the T HARNESS output to the amp input to find out what you have.
Anything over 5vac is considered high voltage on the input side of the amp.

A little work and testing on your end can answer alot of your own questions. Dont relay on everyone else's hypothesis as all this audio schiznit maybe the same but most will have different outcomes.
