I have a 2006 Ultra. Recently the speakers quit working althoiugh I still get sound through the headset. I ran the dignostic and it is telling me Front Speaker open. I checked the wiring connected to the front speakers and it appears solid. Where do I go from here?
Working on the same issue right now on an 07 FLHX. Did yours quit all at once or was it intermittent? I ran the audio update on the radio, but still the same B2017 code.

No audio at all with that defect code is most likely an indication of vibration damage to the radios main board in the area of the Digital Signal Processor or the D to A converter, probably on one of the inter-layer traces. With the 06 and 07 fairing bracket issues, this can happen. The radio will need to be repaired.
As part or the repair, we install an anti-vibration mod that will keep that from happening again.
There are however a couple of things not touched on here;
1. Is there an amplifier present? If so, it will show these diagnostic codes.
2. Do all speakers not work (front and rear)?
3. Have you taken at least one of the speakers out and tested it?
