Is there something out there that would allow me to play my iPod Touch with NO radio? Something like an amp and Speakers? I now have Harley hard saddlebags on my Fatboy. I do not want to install a radio. Just and amp and speakers. Is this possible?
Yes. Contact Dr V-Twin on the forum here. He had a nice sounding setup on his Fatboy that played music from his Iphone, an amp and speakers. No radio headset.
Thanks Primo! I have seen his system. I've been doing some research and found a cable that will allow direct plugin and charging from ipod to amp! I get a killer discount from kicker. Looking into speakers now and Loud Lids!

I did exactly what your talking about on my road king. Plug my ipod right into an isimple cord that goes right to an amp. I have a thread with some pictures, and also there are some pictures if you click on the link in my signature.
Let me know if you have any questions, I did the install myself.
What amp is that? I am still trying to figure out which speakers I want to use. And if my old '96 will even produce enough power to drive an amp. Also tossing around the idea of doing my own lids with two 6.5s and two 5.5s.

The amp is a JL Audio XD 400/4. Great amp, digital, so it doesnt take alot of power and it doesnt get very hot. I love my setup. The only thing I added, which I need to update my thread, I added a product from JL Audio called a CL-RLC. It is a volume controler, so you dont have to use the ipod volume control, also when used with an isimple ipod hook up, it charges your ipod. It also boosts the ipod preamp output voltage from 1.5 volts to 8 volts so you get a cleaner better sounding and louder signal.
All I can say is buy good quality speakers. You get what you pay for. Make sure you look at RMS ratings on the amp and speakers you are going to use. Its great to have loud music, but it better to have loud clean sounding music.
Im just waiting for the day that I get pulled over for loud music on my bike......
