A recent (Webupdater)update to my Zumo 550 (That you can do at the Garmin website) may be causing conflicts with my Roadtech bluetooth headset. I recently suscribed to XM satellite Radio, only to find that my bluetooth headset doesn't process the XM sat. Radio signal. However...the audio on the Zumo's other functions (Navigation, and pre-downloaded music etc.) works fine on the bluetooth headset! Also...Phone (sending & recieving) calls is working fine as well.
Something in the recent Garmin webupdater (Version 4.9)software upgrade is causing problems. Apparantly the older software (Version 4.4?)is still working (XM satellite radio and all other functions)properly.
Now as I understand things...I am unable to go back to the Older software version...(Once the update is done there's no going back kinda thing) BUT I have a brand new (3 year)subscription to XM satellite Radio that I can't hear over my bluetooth headset...LOL
Has anyone else run into this problem?
My bluetooth headset is the HARLEY ROAD TECH HELMET SYSTEM BLUETOOTH 2.0 98272-09VM
I wonder if another brand bluetooth headset is my only option?

If anyone is using this Garmin Zumo/ Road tech Bluetooth headphone setup, can you please post what version of software your Zumo 550 has?
That will give me a starting point (Hopefully)
Solved this problem (In an odd way)...Went to the THE ZumoForums and started reading...Turns out the Zumo 550 does not send the XM audio to the Bluetooth headset connection - just to the hard wired stereo connector on the cradle. (That's the way they're made)
Who knew??? Not the local Harley Dealer...not the mfr of the Bluetooth headset M-sonics...Not the teck rep I talked to at Garmin!!! Geez!!!
What a waste of time!!!
Someone mentioned on the Zumoforums that it clearly states that the Zumo 550 doesn't work with bluetooth and XM radio in the manual!
Well I looked thru the owner's manual that came with this Zumo 550 that Harley supplied and I can't find a damn thing mentioned about it!!!
Very frustrating...
Bottom line...I guess the software upgrade to 4.9 is ok!!! Sorry about the mixup...
