I did a search and didn't really find an answer to my problem. I have a Zumo 550 and a J&M CB on an Electra Glide Standard. I can see when a phone call comes in on the Zumo, I can hear them through the helmet headsets on the aux on the J&M but there is no connection to the gps mic.

I tried to find out about the "Buddy Rich Cable" but I haven't gotten any response from him. It would be great if I could find a "plug and play" option to connect the mic in the headset to the Zumo but so far I haven't had any luck.

My question is.....Can I just splice a mic cable for the Zumo into the audio system of the J&M radio and it work with the helmet headset?

Hi, Surprised nobody has chimed in on this. This is a common issue that few people know how to solve correctly. The problem with just running a cable to connect the mic is that it won't mute so you may have two audio sources coming in at once. The best solution is the BOM.
