Same thing happened on mine. First the black pieces fell off that you squeeze to plug in and then the plug halves them selves fell off. I even super glued them.
The plug is junk a $10 iphone charger has a better connector.
My dealer given me a new cable but this is poor quality. I had 1500 miles on this cord
Not yet, it's part of the saddlebag kit so the dealer errored twice ordering the part, now I'm waiting for them to get with the factory so they can obtain the part.
I have the same issue. It is also less than a year. It doesn't even work anymore, says error cannot sync. Is there a part number for just that short cable or is there an after market cable that will work?
Same problem here. I constantly hear my touch disconnecting and reconnecting with that irratating sound coming through my speakers. Anybody know the part number for the cable that comes with the saddlebag kit?
The cable is only available as part of the saddlebag kit. However, being a warranty item (backordered to 5/30 I was told 2 weeks ago), the dealer ordered the kit and will separate the cable from it.
NOTE: The connection to the iPod is secure, it's the plastic release tabs on the connector housing that fell off.
I finally got the right cable replaced. It's NOT part of the saddlebag kit after all! It was mislabeled by Harley when I went to pick it up because of that fiasco.
