Default Build a dream system

I would like to get opinions on a "Dream System" for a '12 RG Custom.

The budget will be $2k.

The saddle bags need to retain storage. (Some loss is acceptable)

I would like to be able to order the lids pre-painted and complete (if possible to get the best sound).

It is ok to lose the glove boxes and a couple gauges. It is also ok to drill the inner fairing.

I want to get rid of the stock head unit. I want to retain the handlebar controls and interface with an iphone 4s.

The system will see Rain.

I appreciate any and all info!

I want this so loud it blows my wifes top off at 100mph!

Default Here is what i run

This is all stacked in my 2011 RGC loss of no bag space. all amps are underneath the fairing.

Sony tune tray + Hawg wired install kit
2x Hawg Wired PSC 3004 300x4 amps
Focal 6x9 in back in cycle sounds lids
2 sets of Rockford 6.5s in the fairing and tunnel
Polk 6.5s in my lowers with the tweeters drilling into the tunnel

So 8 speakers 600watts RMS and a stereo your friends will be amazed with.

Cost? I would hate to figure it actually out

and it my not blow your wifes top off but it does sound like angels singing in your ears

I don't think you are going to be able to do it for 2K.

Lids + quality speakers: ~1200.00 (depending on paint)

Amp: 400.00-500.00

Head unit: 200.00-300.00

Fairing speakers 300.00 - 500.00

You might squeak in there if you do all the install work yourself.

Where are you able to find lids with decent speakers for 600.00?

A good pair of speakers alone will be around 200.00.
