Default advice for a noob when it comes to audio

I have a lot of questions.
I dont know anything about adding audio to the bike.
I want to add a satellite radio( I have a lifetime subscription to Sirius sat radio and H. Stern so I want that on my bike, I also want a navigator or multi purpose device with a nice visible screen that I can hopefully do more than just audio or just nav, I would like to find a unit I can do it all, sat radio, nav, and itunes or mp3's.

I dont have a full time fairing so I think I am going to need a cool way to mount all this since I am trying to keep my bars clean.
So if I could get one compact unit,. that I can mount in a way that will suite the look of my bike and allow me to control all the above I would be very happy.
Also, those front speakers I showed in my other posts, I would like to look into putting two others in the lids of my bags so we have 4 speakers to boot.
Anyway advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
I am not looking for the cheapest way to get this done, I just want to do it well, di it right and have total functionality.

Thanks for any help in advance.

sounds like you need a Garmin Zumo 665 with the satellite antenna addition which can give you not only XM/Sirius radio but also weather maps that overlay your route on the GPS.

The Zumo 665 comes with a handlebar mount as well as a car cradle so there is nothing else to purchase. You'll need to add the Sat antenna and the device plays MP3s also. You'll need speakers to hear all this and for that I would recommend either the Boom Audio windshield mount amp/speaker combo or the J&M handlebar mounted setup. Either will work fine when plugging the Zumo output into it.

Thanks for the info,
Garmin Zumo 665 with the satellite antenna addition I will look into that it sounds like maybe what I am looking for.

I didnt see the speakers in that first vid.

I posted another thread in audio about speakers I saw on a bike I would like to get those and mount them like the person in that pic did, and possibly add two to the bags.

I definitely dont want them, on my bars same with the radio, I am going to have to find a spot that I can mount the unit so it is out of the way.
I have a PI RK so maybe I will eliminate the tach and use that space for a radio mount? not sure.

I will have the stock harness from the controls for cruise, audio and an extra for additions.
So if I can hook up that unit to the stock wire harness and plug and play I should be able to have functionality with my hand controls right?

Thanks again.

ps did you see my other post about those seakers? any idea what those are?
Thanks more

also on the Garmin Zumo 665, if you go to Harley and get their version which is the RoadTech branded Zumo 665, it will come to you in black.

Whatever u do, DONT spend your money on the HD Boom system! Google Shark250W stereo and watch all the clips. Sure, any speakers mounted to the bars are going to look a little "gaudy", but I like the fact that this whole rig can be put into a leather tool bag and removed just as easily when I don't want tunes.
