if you have the Sony headunit, you have the DSO features. It's the EQ settings as commonly referred to.
This is all a matter of listening preference. I and a few other like the Xplode setting but that doesn't mean that's what you'll like. You'll have to play with it with differing types of music to determine the best setting for you.
I believe your speakers will also dictate sound, I've got upper hertz and they give more sound, really more bass than a lot of them. I run my lower' louder and can hear all speakers quite distinctly.I just got rid of the Rockford 4 channel and installed the recommended sound stream, best amp I've had under the hood. Great amp and best price, tight fit,but the key word fit! Ok my 2 cents!
