Do the install yourself. Take your time and it will be worth it. I did mine over the last three evenings and I even pulled the tank for the first time to run the pos/neg wires to the battery with no problems. These guys on this forum will answer any question you have along the way. Or take Kebo up on his offer and make a weekend out of it.
What did you end up doing? Did the dealer install the amp in your saddlebags or under your fairing? Whatever you do don't return your amp. I was running a Rockford 4ch and now a SS 4ch...All I can say is WOW glad I changed amps.
