I received the nano 520 today. It is the new style with the terminal block. I plan on tinning my wires so it shouldn't be a problem. Probably will use some blue loctite just in case. What is the advantage of using the speaker level to rca level converter as opposed to just using the high level plugs and just tapping the speaker wires? Next question, which speaker enclosures are the best for H.D. lowers? My friend bought the Screaming Eagle enclosures from Harley and had them painted but he is having trouble finding a speaker that fits the opening. I was planning on doing the same as it is a nice finished look as opposed to the cheesy ones they sell in the P&A catalog. I would like to run a set of polk mm651's if possible. Waiting for the best options in the frozen tundra. Thanx.

Springer, you have to tell me again what you're running for a head unit and what bike this is.

2009 streetglide. Stock head unit, ss nano 520, MM651's in the fairing, future mm651's in the lowers. two channels for the fairing, two for the lowers which I plan on making disconnectable for the summer months. What is the advantage of going from line level to the RCA? Not opposed to doing it but I would like to know the reason. The installation should be fairly straight forward as I'm going to be replacing my inner fairing at the same time. I'll probably be copying your mounting system or something similar. I was already using a powered antenna in the fairing so hopefully the FM will continue to function. Waiting for it to warm up so I can get to it.

ok sorry I help so many folks I lose track of who I'm talking to and about what sometimes.
Ok, you've got a couple of options here and it's primarily because the streetglides do not have the fader enabled AND you only have 1 connector plugged into the back of the radio which contains your front speaker outputs. The other empty connector in the back of the radio contains many things among them, your rear outputs.
1.) you can purchase the connector, pins, and seal pins to plug into the other socket on the radio and then you'll have 4 channels coming out of it. Still won't have fading abilities unless you bring the bike to dealer to have it enabled. From there you can use the high level outputs of the radio, front and rear to go into the front and rear inputs on the amp. It's not wise to do something like tie front high level outputs into both front and rear inputs on the amp. It may work for a while but I think you'll wind up toasting your high level outputs on your radio.
2.) you can ignore the rear outputs and the fading ability of the radio and use just the front outputs to a high level to RCA adapter, then "y" the RCA jacks out of the adapter to both front and rear channel inputs on the amp. The adapter keeps the input signals isolated from each other.
