So really getting close to making a move on upgrading the sound system on my SG..
Local HD dealer is having a Rockford fosgate rep next weekend and is selling a RF amp and prime speakers with the tweeters for about $500 ish installed. Is that a good deal? They had a bike set up with the speakers but not the tweeters that come with the package, (couldnt find a spot to put them, they said), and it sounded pretty good
I know nothing about audio except what I have I don't like.
Anyone have any good or bad reviews? Is that overpriced?
Thanks
hey man sorry I didn't see this. Depends on what amp they're using at $250. And trust me most upgraded setups will sound good sitting on the showroom floor or in someone's garage, boom audio for example. Crank the bike up, whole different story...

I figured it may sound different at 70 mph. What the model of amp to have at that price? And where will the tweeters go? The parts guy didn't know because it was so new to them but said the rep would know next weekend.
The new bike on the floor didn't have the tweeters on it. I wouldn't mind losing the air temp gauge but the other gauges I would like to keep.
Is there a better set up for the price? Or cheaper?
I really cant say yes or no without knowing exactly what components they would use for this setup. Hell if you give me the dealer's name I'll call them Monday and ask questions about the setup.
ok.. I'll give them a call Monday. if they're closed I'll holler at them on Tuesday and get back with you on my findings...
On a side note, I think it's really funny that a HD dealership is sponsoring a RF sale/install what with their own Boom Crap... oops I mean Boom Audio line...

let your dealer know that for the $$$ spent, the new J&M Performance Series complete amplifier & speaker KITS will give you the best sound available on the highway, where it counts,,,,,
