I have one on the way from mouser. Should be able to post results in a couple of weeks. I thought mine was O.K. after going back to the original mast antenna and burying it under the rear fender strut. After riding it this week the F.M. reception isn't good. I can still get the stations but they are weak and fade out with poor quality. Maybe I'll try the powered antenna I removed and see how or if that helps. The MP3 discs sound great but I need my F.M. too.

One other thing to mention is that I'm having the reception problem across the whole fm band. From the high 80's to 107's, so I'm not real sure killing the 100 mhz emf's on the power wire is the answer, but it's worth a $10 bill.
update.... rf prime 400-4 ........
too big!!!
Hits the faring ....
Oh well, now we all know!!
****!!! I rolled the dice and bought it 2 days ago. It'll be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Guess since it is already coming I'll go ahead and try. Maybe I can figure out how to shave the backside of the gauges to make more room. Or if I'm feeling really ballsy maybe grind off some of the amp body. I reeeeally doubt that though. I bought it from Amazon so returning it should be pretty painless.
Adding possible FM issues for the Massive BX2. Definitely lost one station (smaller local so not a surprise). Need to test to see how many more are impacted. Other radio stations came through ok.

Springer, the ferrite core should absorb and block interference from about 1 MHz all the way to 300 MHz. It won't eliminate it completely, and from your description your amp is worse than many. Please let us know if the core helps. A "before and after" count of clear stations across the band would be appreciated.
Well I know it's been a while, certainly more than the two weeks that I mentioned earlier but I finally got around to installing the ferrite core. I was able to get 6 wraps, (3 power and 3 ground), of #8 MTWN through the center using some soap and an awl. The FM is sounding clear in my garage and hopefully I'll get to take it for a ride and report back later.
Got out for a short ride and the FM is working pretty good. I didn't get to the hinterlands to see if the signal fades sooner than before but so far so good. Thanx to Gone Riding.
