Nutz I been out a pocket a while got way to much going on right now.
Looks like I just gone deal with it till I get some money ahead and that looks like never at this moment. But preciate you trying.
Gone riding glad you have made some headway with this and maybe you will get it figured out if I had the time I'd tr some of it two but with a wedding in 4 weeks what little free time I have won't be working on my ride o riding my ride for that fact. Maybe by the time I get to work on it this crap will be solved.
Well, I still like my FM reception. When I go on trips I like to scroll local channels for weather/traffic/etc. Also the local stations. I also have an IPod/XM...
I just put in a Precision Power i350.2 to fix an issue I was having with my previous amp (ARC mini) and "poof" no FM reception. Never had a reception issue with the ARC. I was going to take the fairing off and make sure I didn't wrap the power around the antenna lead, or some other mistake. I did a search on this issue and found this thread, so I'll be watching for a fix. I'm using the stock HU, HD powered hidden antenna, PP i350.2 and Focal CA1 speakers. I do listen to XM (module) most of the time as well as plug my phone into the aux jack. But there are times when I'd like to hear the traffic on the local news radio station. Luckily, they broadcast on both AM and FM, I was able to hear the traffic report on AM.
I'm still at a loss on mine some channels will come in and fade out somedays you actually can listen to the fm. Seems on the as it falls somwhere between the 96 to 99 fm range other stations will come in its frustrating.
Forgot about that post ultra I haven't had time to work on mine at all last several weeks.
i emailed soundstream about this problem and this was the response i got. "You may need to add a EMI filter to the power line. Your best bet is to visit a local install shop for help in installing one." so i told him that i am the local install shop.. i have 25+ years as an industrial electrician, mechanic and am a gm certified tech. i do all my own work... and guess what... no reply!!!!
I am fed up... anyone want an ss 4-520 amp for $ 75... pm me. i ordered a rf r400-4d... hope i works good or i will send it back....

Damn shame about these amps, otherwise they seem like a good deal. Does this problem happen with all class D amps? I was thinking about this one, the big brother Soundstream. Looks like it might fit with a little work, but I wouldn't bother if it also kills the FM.
