Has anyone installed speakers in the lids of a road king custom?

I just picked up a set of those lids, not impressed at all. They need to be painted but they came all scratched up and wavy. Would take a lot of work to get them ready for paint. I think I'm going to go with the 6.5" from V-twin audio. They have a bracket that points the speaker forward towards the rider. Really wanted the 6x9's for the bass though.

I've been trying to talk myself into installing those for a bit now. Now it's down to talking the wife into $300 bezels. I know a couple guys on here have installed them. In fact here is a thread for it.
