Got my friend a set of Polk MM651 and RF 300x2 to replace his defective Boom Audios on his Street Glide. Problem his he never kept his old cloth speaker grills and I am sure Harely is realy proud of the stock ones, which he would be fine with.
Any one have any other reasonable priced Ideas for them grills. Or maybe a set of stock ones they are willing to sell that could be mailed to Michigan by next friday which is when all the componets for install should be here.
Depending on how he has the rest of the bike set up, there are metal mesh units on eBay that would look good. There's also a guy out there who makes custom grilles - do a search for Legacy Baggers.
Hawg Wired has a couple different styles of steel mesh speaker grills. I used their Punched grills and they look great IMO. They will work with any speaker adapter and both allow you to see the speaker through the grill. They're reasonably priced as well.
Go to home depot and get a small roll of black plastic screen door mesh. Cut to size and put on 2 layers with the grains crossed over and it will look like stock. I was about to do this for my rear speakers but then found OEM covers on Ebay. I would have been happy with this solution as well.
