6 speakers/ 4 channel amp
now I have db651 in the fairing, db521 in the rear pods.
I bought another pair of db651 I want to put in the lowers.
Thought I could just look on the internet and answer my own question but all I really got was confused. thinking leave the fairing speakers alone and putting the lowers and the rear pods on the other 2 channels. but not sure which way to do this, not sure Im saying this right but maybe in a series, Im really not good at this ohms and such so Im just trying to stay out of trouble so IM open for advice.
Thanks Randy
run your wires from the lowers to the front outputs on the amp and tie them in there. This will bring the impedance load at the amp to 2 ohms which this amp is more than capable of handling. + to + and - to -
I thought you shouldn't mix 4 ohms and 2 ohms, this being said, could I get mm651,s for the fairing at two ohms. and then wire the pods and the lowers at the 2 ohms. lol I know this is simple to yourself and others but I really have a hard time understanding it.
If you ever have questions about anything about cabinets especially european hinges and such, I can answer most questions off the top of my head.
Thanks for responce
Randy
yes you could do that with the speakers however I'd suggest doing the fairing and lowers together and then the rears on their own. This way you'd have better control of the "in your face" audio
if you take the 2 4 ohm speakers in the front, wire them in parallel that will give you a 2 ohm load at the amp. then add a pair of the polks in the rear to have a 2 ohm load at the amp.
