Default Removing rear speaker pods

I'm thinking about removing the rear speaker pods on my '12 UC. Anyone done this, or know of a web site with information on how to do it? I'd like to retain the audio controls for use with the rear helmet jack.

Thanks, ride safe

David

I was thinking about using plywood, padding and black vinyl to match the seat. Make them just deep enough for the audio controls. Use carriage bolts so the bolt heads aren't seen. Will not only cover the holes, but shouldn't look too bad either.

Why remove the pods if you still want the comm features?
