Default Got new Sony head unit installed

It started out with just a Arc Audio MPAK 1 with stock HU on a 2001 Ultra. I was looking for a little better sound and I had a annoying static a 70 mph.

One thing led to another and I ordered a Sony CDX GT 700 HD radio and 6 1/2 Sony XS GS1720 Speakers.

I had a little snaf fu with the speaker adapters and will have to install the Sony speakers hopefully next week end. I am using the 5 1/4 speakers that came with the MPAK 1 kit.

I did not do any fine tuning with the amp since I will change speakers soon.

Wow what an improvement so far. Where I normally park the bike under a metal roof I use to just get static. Now I am pulling in many FM stations. I grabbed some of my favorite music. The Outlaws, green grass and high tides CD and went for a test ride. Sounded real good all the way up to 90 mph. That static and 70 mph is gone too.

Thanks to all the contributors on this Audio forum for ideas and instruction.
