Default ohm load with crossover.

So i have my speakers and ready to get an amp. What i want to double check is will putting my crossover in line change the ohm load. It has 1 input and 2 outs. One for mid one for tweeter. All speakers are 4ohm speakers. Will this in essence make a 2ohm load

the crossover's job is to not only allow certain frequencies through to the tweeter and to the woofer but also to maintain the impedance load specified in the product specs. So for instance, the MM651 are rated at 2.7 ohms. If you measure the 2 speakers individually, the impedance/ohms measurement will be higher than 2.7 ohms. However when you measure it behind the crossover, the impedance is 2.7 ohms.

As GP pointed out, you're good.

not going to get into the technical discussion of it again... Just don't do it.. Besides you're not going to find a 6.5" speaker that can handle the power anyways... i was only doing it for testing purposes and it didn't pan out too well.
