UN - Got back from 4500 mile trip out west. Found out that turning the Iphone equalizer OFF makes for better sound from the Polk's with no distortion. I plan to take another look at my settings this weekend on the amp and adjust as you suggest. One thing I saw on other posts was using a multimeter with a .wav file you supplied. The link was dead. Do you still have the file? I would like to at least try it.
I have a '10 Ultra Limited. Adding a Soundstream PN4.520D and speakers (Kicker 6.5s in the rear pods, Infinity Kappa 6.5s up front). I need to keep the stock head unit (for now) as the GF wants to use the intercom system. I also have the CB module.
Anyone have a line on an under-fairing mounting bracket for this amp (or some other safe way to kluge it in, but a bracket designed for it would be best)?
Speaker outs from the head unit to the high-level inputs on the amp, I assume.
Also, are you running power to the amp directly from the battery? if so, does the amp shut down after a while if the head unit is off?
Sorry for the noobie questions...new to the touring community, have been on a Dyna up until a couple of months ago (still have it; got my tunes there by hard-wiring a line from the RAM mount for my phone, under the speedo/console to a female plug in the leather pouch, into which I plug my earbuds). Much easier. ;-)

Thanks in advance.
I just installed the same amp this summer, with a lot of help from UltraNutz. There is a lot of good information in this thread. Make sure to check the stickies. I will try to "pay forward" what I learned.
I could not find any bracket. Apparently a member did make them but doesn't anymore. I used Velcro and a thin wood board and it worked just fine. See attached pic. One note - this was my first try and I found out that wood was too thick to get the fairing back on. Make sure to use 1/4" and push the amp all the way back to the speedo/tach.
Run power to amp directly to battery along with ground.

Thanks much!
Update - I used UN's sound file to adjust the gains with a mm and found out I was set way too low. Man it rocks now at 1/2 volume. The Polk's are finally awake!
Now folks, what can I do about FM and XM radio interference? It's so bad I can't listen to either of these 2 sources. I was about ready to tear into the fairing again to move XM antenna then replace my stock whip antenna until I poked around the forum and saw that there may not be a solution to my problem and that I have to live with this. What about these suppression cores? Do they work, where can I get them, how do I install? I'm hoping I can increase my listening options or does everyone with this problem just use CD's and iPhone for music?

Use a different amp. Some people lose FM reception (I did with the Soundstream), some don't, with the majority losing it. The amp is generating interference in the FM band.

Download to your phone and use the bluetooth option. Thats what I did with my stuff. I have my soundstreams mounted in my bags and still lost FM reception. Now, I use the "TuneIn" app and listen to my radio stations that way and use the "SiriusXM" app to listen to my XM stations....all through bluetooth of course.

Great suggestion. Do you have a bluetooth capable radio or use one of those plug in adapters to the input jack? I still have the stock HK radio.

+1 I use these apps as well and a few more. Never understood guys losing radio stations with so many apps out there. There's at least 250 FM radio apps on my Android and the same on my Iphone.

I have a bluetooth radio but my wife's bike has one of the adapters. I also have used the adapter in older cars that I had that only had aux plugs. You can find em cheap on amazon or locally at target or hhgregg, best buy, etc.
